Hi I'm Soonsoo!

I’m a product designer passionate about creating meaningful experiences that genuinely help people.

Before discovering design, I worked in various industries – from teaching to healthcare and to manufacturing. This diverse experience taught me a deep understanding of how people interact with technology and design. It also shaped me to become open-minded and adaptable, eager to learn and grow from challenges.

What led me to design?

In my previous role as a Product Labeling Specialist at Qfix (medical device manufacturing company), I led a company-wide project to redesign the instructional manuals. The goal was to replace majority of the text with illustrations to improve end-user comprehension while reducing translation cost.

Taking on this project exposed me to the design process, and that’s when I discovered my passion for UX design!

What guides my design process?

Each person's experience is quite unique, and design honors these varied experiences in order to create good, inclusive products.

I'm constantly amazed by the impact of listening with empathy, trying new methods, and collaborating across disciplines on final designs.

I want to continue learning and develop new skills to create better digital solutions, and design is the perfect space for it!

And in midst of it all, I believe in persevering with patience, staying positive, and being kind to keep going and growing.

Responding to user's pain points with creative solutions that also satisfy business goals is a challenge but always exciting!

Opportunities to make a positive impact are endless with design, and I'm thankful to be a part of this effort.
